How to use the Gumhop reward pack Marketplace

Updated

Gumhop’s Marketplace is an in-app library of reward packs shared by users. Preview a listing, save a copy to your own packs, then assign that pack to a task list. The marketplace shares digital reward content; it is not a paid-task marketplace.

Find and preview a pack

Sign in and open Marketplace. Browse Featured, Popular or New, or search for a theme. Open a listing to preview its images, GIFs and captions before saving it. Available packs depend on what the community has published; this guide does not promise a particular theme is in stock.

A listing shows a published snapshot of a pack. It is separate from the publisher’s private editing view, so what you preview is the content you are choosing to copy.

Save a copy, then choose the list it rewards

Use the listing’s save action to copy the pack into your account. Open Rewards → Packs to find it, check that it is active, and select its list assignments. Saving is not the same as assigning: your existing default and list-specific packs still determine where rewards come from.

  1. Preview a listing and save a copy.
  2. Open Rewards → Packs and select the copied pack.
  3. Assign it to a list, or make it the default for unassigned lists.
  4. Finish a new task in that list and check the reward in your Collection.

Understand what happens to a saved pack

A saved pack is your own copy. You can change it without changing the publisher’s pack. The publisher’s later edits do not silently change your copy. If a listing is removed, the Marketplace may stop showing it; do not rely on a listing URL as your private archive.

If a completed task does not draw a card, check the pack’s active state, its items and the list assignment. A task that already earned a reward will not earn another by being reopened.

Publish something other users can understand

In Rewards → Packs, choose the pack’s publish action. Give it a descriptive title and tell readers what the pack contains. Publishing can use your display name or Anonymous. Check the publishing dialog for current item and listing limits before submitting.

Only publish material you have permission to share. Remove private photographs and captions you do not want copied. A title like ‘My landscape photographs’ is more useful than ‘Best pack ever’ because it tells people what they will collect.

Update a listing deliberately

Editing your private pack does not automatically edit its Marketplace listing. Use Update from pack when you want to publish a fresh snapshot. My listings is where you manage your listings; Saved helps you revisit packs you have saved.

Unlist a pack if you want to stop discovery without using its listing as a task queue. Share a useful pack with people who want it, then invite them to use it for real tasks. The task loop is the reason to return; the pack gives it a personal touch.
